New Year's Planning

As the year comes to a close, many women like to create a list of resolutions.  Others a proclamation--or list of how they intend to live their live in the year ahead.

LOOKING BACK

It is refreshing to have a fresh start with the turn of the calendar page.  As a Christian woman, it is always important to ask God for his plans.  Our own plans might sound wonderful but won't bear the right fruit if they aren't aligned with Gods.

As you tidy up the details of this past year and look forward to the next, pray over these questions and use them as prompts:

  1. What did you add to your life this year?
  2. Where/how have you grown?
  3. What life lessons have you learned?  (Perhaps about how to view or handle life.)
  4. What are 5 key top decisions you've made this year?
  5. What tripped you up?
  6. Name 5 top things about 2011 that were really good for you.
  7. If you could have a do-over, what would you have done differently?

PRESENT DAY

  1. What are the 5 main things God wants you to focus on right now--that probably means what do you spend most days doing.
  2. How do you feel inside?  How is your spirit?  How is you mood?
  3. What do you wish could change?

2012

  1. What do you feel God wants you to focus on in 2012?
  2. What changes do you want to make?
  3. What projects do you want to complete?
  4. Who do you want to spend more time with?
  5. What do you want to be more on top of?
  6. Have you had any sneak peaks into new things that you will want to explore?
  7. What are the things you definitely want included in the next few months in order to propel you to meet the deepest desires of your heart?
  8. What specific goals will you set?
  9. Where do you hope you'll be mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. this time next year?
